Just One Positive Light
Written By CHILL Member: Madeline Bishop
In times like these, it seems as though every day brings something new and unpredictable to the table that no one is prepared to handle. Stress levels are running high with simple everyday tasks being completely up in the air. It is very easy to let these new anxieties affect how we are able to get through the day. However, it is vitally important to try and focus on the most important things in life. For instance, I will be attending Emory and Henry College in the fall to run cross country and track and field, so I have used much of my time training for the sport that I love, and spending more time with my family now that I am not pulled in a million different directions at once.
The world now seems to be in pure chaos in an ever-changing situation that has halted the entire planet, but taking the time to find what is most important to you will always help you to see the silver lining. It is so simple to give up and focus on the negatives, but just one positive light can shine bright in a world of darkness. Yes, this is a very difficult time for all of us and at times it can seem as though the darkness may conquer, but I encourage you all to find your own personal silver lining to help you get through. That small light of hope will be the force that will get us through this pandemic together.
